Applications are invited for Junior Research Fellow (2 positions) on a purely contract basis in the Directorate of Naval Research & Development funded project entitled "Estimation of suspended sediment concentrations from ocean colour monitor onboard Oceansat and Algorithm development for settling velocity".

1. Appointment:
Initially for one year and may be extended based on the performance of the candidate for another two years.
2. Essential Qualifications for JRF:
 First Class M. Sc. Marine Geology/Geophysics/Marine Sciences/Atmospheric Sciences/Oceanography
3. Desirable/additional Qualifications:
Experience/knowledge in Remote Sensing, handling of oceansat and oceanographic data, computer programming etc.
Fellowship:
JRF Rs.12,000/- pm
HRA may be provided, if eligible, as per the University rules.

General Conditions
1) Applications should be submitted in the Format prescribed below. A recent passport size photograph should be affixed on the top right corner of the first page. Applications that are not submitted in the prescribed format will not be considered.
2) Candidates should submit separate applications for each position.
3) Candidates who are already employed in Government /Autonomous Bodies/ Public Sector Under takings should forward their application through proper channel; however, they may send advance copies.
4) University of Hyderabad reserves the right not to fill up any positions.
5) Applications should reach to the Principal Investigator, on or before 15th December 2008.

(11) A brief write up on the Research experience, enclosing copies of publications (12) Address of two
Referees
(13) time required to join, if selected
(14) Any other relevant information
(15) Declaration affirming that the information furnished is true and correct
