How to Apply?
All applications should be made through the online PGEE-2008 Portal www.iiit.ac.in/pgadmin.html Applications can apply for one or more programmes by indicating choices. The application fee is Rs. 800/- for one programme and Rs. 50/- for extra for each additional choice. Application fee in the form of a demand draft drawn in favour of "IIT, Hyderabad", payable at Hyderabad must reach the Chairman, PG Admissions on or before 12 January 2008.
Note: Application will be considered valid only after the receipt of application fee.

About PGEE 2008
All-India examination will be conducted on 17 February 2008 (Sunday). The examination will be held in major cities in the country depending on the number of applicants from each region. The entrance examination will consists of two papers. Paper – I will test the general aptitude of the candidate and will consist of objective questions in Mathematics, Programming, and Logical Reasoning. Paper-II is the respective Subject Paper.

IIT-H conducts research and PG programmes in domain specific areas for Civil and Electrical Engineers, Physical and Biological Sciences, and Mathematicians, in addition to the regular CS/ECE areas.

PG/Ph.D PROGRAMMES
M.Tech.(Duration: 2 years)
--Computer Science
--Computer Science and Information Security
--VLSI and Embeded Systems
--Bio-informatics
--Computational Lingusitics
Eligibility: BE/B.Tech in Engg. (any branch including CS/ECE/EE/Civil/Inst./Biotech.) or B.Arch. or Master's degree in Science/ Maths/Programming/Comuter Science or MCA

MS by Research (Duration: 2 years)
Ph.D (Duration: 3 to 5 years)

--Power Systems
--Building Science
Eligibility: All as above and / or ME/Mtech. In Engg. Or Master's degree in Maths/ Science or MCA

Post BSc. Dual Degree (separate exam will conducted and details on website)
(B.Tech CSE and MS in Computaional Natural Sciences (Duration: 4 years)
Eligibility: BSc. (MPC), preferably with Honours / Major in Physics or Chemistry.

Computaitonal Lingustics (separate exam will conducted and details on websie)
M.Phil (Duration: 2 years)
Ph.D (Duration: 3 to 5 years)
Eligibiltiy: MA or M.Phil in Linguistics, Language or related areas.
