The exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR).

The UGC NET exam is conducted twice yearly, in June and December. The exam is an online computer-based test of three hours duration and tests the candidate's knowledge in their respective fields.

4.   CUCET - Central Universities Common Entrance Test

The Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) is a national-level entrance exam conducted for admission to undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programs in several central universities in India. The exam is conducted annually by the Central University of Rajasthan. CUCET is an online exam and is two hours duration. 6.   NEET - National Eligibility cum Entrance Test
