Science, Humanities & Social Sciences Branches:
1. Mathematics
2. Chemistry
3. Physics
4. English
5. Computer Applications
6. Computer Science
7. Business Administration

General requirement for candidates applying for Ph.D is a Master's degree of this university or any other qualification recognized as equivalent thereto in the fields of study notified from time to time with not less than 55% marks.

In addition to the above, for Engineering & Technology Branches candidates should have M.E./M.Tech. or M.S. (By Research) in the relevant branch of Engineering or Technology and for Science, Humanities & Social Sciences Branches, M.Sc./M.A./M.S. (By Research) in the relevant branch of Science, Humanities, and Social Sciences / M.C.A.
