Applications have been invited for admission to Ph.D Courses in Civil / Computer Science / Electrical / Electronics and Communication / Mechanical / Metallurgical / Management/ Mathematics / Physics / Chemistry at INDUS University, Rancharda, Ahmedabad - 382 115.

Eligibility Criteria for Both Full Time and Part Time PhD
Engineering Streams

M.E / M.Tech in the relevant branch of Engineering or Technology with 60 % marks or CGPA of 6.5 on a 10 point scale for general merit. For SC / ST / OBC candidates it is 55 % marks or CGPA of 6 on a 10 point scale. B.E / B.Tech degree from reputed institutions in the relevant branch of Engineering or Technology with 75 % marks or CGPA of 8.0 on a 10 point scale for general merit for SC / ST / OBC candidates it is 55 % marks or CGPA of 6 on a 10 point scale with minimum 3 years experience in professional environment and / or publications in referred journal.

Science and Humanities Stream
Masters Degree in Science / Computer Application with 60 % marks or CGPA of 6.5 on a 10 point scale for general merit. For SC / ST / OBC candidates it is 55 % marks or CGPA of 6 on a 10 point scale.

Management Stream
MBA / PGDBA / PGDBM from AICTE approved list of institutions / Master Degree in relevant Discipline with 60 % marks or CGPA of 6.5 on a 10 point scale for general merit. For SC / ST / OBC candidates it is 55% marks or CGPA of 6 on a 10 point scale.

Admission Procedure:
Applicants fulfilling minimum eligibility criteria, shall be required to take Indus University Research Aptitude Test (IURAT) and appear for a personal interview (PI).
The research aptitude test shall comprise of two sections .One section on general reasoning, and the other on respective streams. The test paper will have multiple-choice type questions. Duration of the test will be ONE hour.
During the personal interview, the candidate shall have to make a presentation for about 10 minutes on the main theme of the proposed research, which will be followed by an interview by the panel. The DRC shall test the potential of the applicant for conducting research work.
Based on the academic / research / industrial record and the performance of the applicant in IURAT and PI , the ARC/ DRC shall recommend to the Dean ( Research)/ Executive President (Vice Chancellor) the names of the suitable candidates.
Successful candidates will be informed of their selection through their email ID within two weeks from the date of IURAT and PI.

Application Fees: Rs. 1,000/- through DD in favour of ?Indus University? Payable at Ahmedabad.
Course Fees: Rs. 30,000/- per Year

Enclosures to be attached with filled-in application form:
1. Detailed CV of the Applicant.
2. Copy of Mark Sheets / Grade Cards / Experience Certificates / Sponsorship Letter.
3. Brief Note on Area of Research.
4. Copy of GATE Score/UGC-NET/CSIR-UGC (if applicable)
5. Copy of Certificate of OBC / SC / ST / PD (if applicable)
6. Pl submit the Demand Draft along with above enclosures.

Duration:
Minimum period of study and research shall not be less than 3 years from the date of provisional registration of the candidate for the full time candidates, and shall not be less than 4 years for part time candidates. However, in case of exceptional performance, the period can be reduced with the recommendations of the Apex Research Committee (ARC) and approval of the Executive President.

Programme Duration:

Research Assistantship:
