Eligibility
M.Sc. Forestry: Three years bachelor's degree in science with at least one of the subjects namely Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or Forestry.
For M.Sc. Wood Science & Technology: Three years bachelor's degree with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry or B.Sc. degree in Forestry.
For M.Sc. Environment Management: Three years bachelor's degree in any branch of basic or applied Sciences or Bachelor's degree in Forestry or Agriculture or BE in Environment Science.
For Post Master Diploma in Natural Resource Management: M.Sc. in any discipline
For Post Master Diploma in Management of Non-Wood Forest Products: M.Sc. in Botany, Zoology, Forestry, Chemistry.
For PG Diploma in Pulp & Paper Technology: B.Sc. in Science with Chemistry as one of the subjects
Application procedure: Applications for admission shall be made in the prescribed form available from the Registrar, Forest Research Institute University, Dehra Dun. The application form and the 'Information Bulletin' - 2008 can be obtained in person or by post on payment of Rs.600/- wherever applicable through bank draft drawn in favour Registrar, Forest Research Institute University payable at Dehra Dun.

Application form may also be submitted online from the website www.fri.res.in However a printed copy of the submitted form must also be sent by mail alongwith two self attested passport size photographs and crossed demand draft of Rs.600/- in favour of Registrar, FRI University payable at Dehra Dun.
Application duly filled in legibly in applicant's own handwriting with blue/black pen should be sent so as to reach the Registrar, Forest Research Institute University, P.O.: I.P.E., Kaulagarh Road, Dehra Dun – 248 195 on or before the last date. The application form can also be downloaded from the website www.icfre.org
Last date of submission of Forms: 7th April, 2008
Last date of Issue of application form : 1. By Post: 20th March, 2008 ; ;
2. At the Institute/Bank Counter: 31st March, 2008
Date of Entrance Test : 18th May, 2008
Center of examination : Dehradun, Jabalpur, Bangalore, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Delhi, Lucknow, Jodhpur, Shimla, Ranchi, Coimbatore, Jorhat.
